Product Details
An air-cooled finned-tube condenser is a device that utilizes ambient air as a cooling medium to condense gaseous refrigerant and dissipate heat through forced convection. Its core structure consists of a metal tube bundle (typically copper or stainless steel) integrated with fins characterized by high thermal conductivity.
As high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant flows through the tubes, heat is conducted through the tube walls to the external fins. By extending the geometric surface area, the fins significantly enhance the air-side heat transfer coefficient, thereby compensating for the inherently poor thermal conductivity of air. Assisted by forced airflow generated by a fan, the unit rapidly dissipates heat, causing the refrigerant to condense into a liquid state. To optimize overall performance, modern designs often employ corrugated or louvered fins to disrupt the airflow field and reduce thermal resistance within the boundary layer. Furthermore, these condensers are designed for compactness and corrosion resistance—often featuring hydrophilic coatings—and are widely used in residential air conditioners, small-to-medium-sized cold storage facilities, and industrial refrigeration systems, serving as critical thermal components for efficient energy conversion.
